Is Prince William Closer To Wife Kate Middleton’s Family? Planning “Humble” Christmas Dinner?

There have been several instances when the media noted several times that Prince William and Kate Middleton do not entirely adhere to royal protocols and rules.

It also seems that the couple are raising their two children less like the Duke's ancestors and more like the Duchess' "normal" family.

Could the prince be more comfortable around the Middletons than his own flesh and blood?

Being in a family highly scrutinized for even the smallest of actions, Prince William was taught to be careful of his actions in public ever since he was young.

Past reports suggested that he was only able to extricate himself from the media while at school and even that had to be negotiated with the press as well.

Now that Prince William and Kate Middleton have a family of their own, it seems that the Duchess' mother and sister have more family time with the children than their royal relatives.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry previously reported that Carole Middleton's very heavy presence in her grandchildren's lives has given Queen Elizabeth a reason to worry.

The Duchess' plans to change Christmas in the household this year allegedly caused a rift between her and the royal family.

The gossip site reported that the mother-of-two insisted on a "Middleton-run" Christmas lunch" this year and Queen Elizabeth is not happy about it.

The couple reportedly already did this last year and supposedly decided to stick to it this year as well.

"Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte are reported to be breaking the royal tradition again by planning a humble, and middleclass Christmas. Of course, Kate's modernization of the royal Christmas isn't sitting well with critics and the Queen is furious," the site further shared.

On the other hand, CDL noted that this rift might cause Prince William and Kate Middleton to end up divorcing each other should the former wish to keep the royal traditions that are slowly being weaned off of the Cambridge family.
