TikTok Expose: Behind LongHorn's Kitchen Doors

Kayla, known on TikTok as @meowxroar, has taken to the social media platform to reveal what goes on in the kitchen of the LongHorn Steakhouse chain. In her eye-opening video, she claims that the vegetables served to customers were microwaved during her tenure.

Further, she disclosed that not only are the frozen butter and bread served to customers, but the salads are also pre-packaged, arriving in bags. Her revelations have sparked discussions, with one viewer noting, "Everyone needs to work in a restaurant so they know this," highlighting the importance of understanding the realities of food preparation in the industry.

Additionally, another former employee at LongHorn Steakhouse who had experience in front-of-house and back-of-house roles for nearly a decade shared insights into the restaurant's operations in April 2023.

From serving and bartending to prep and line cooking, they've gathered a wealth of knowledge about LongHorn, offering an insider's perspective on menu secrets and tips for employees and patrons.

Among the revelations is the surprising fact about LongHorn's shrimp-and-lobster chowder, which, despite its name, relies heavily on a lobster base for flavor. Actual lobster is a rare find in the dish. Instead, the chowder is more akin to a peppery corn soup, occasionally featuring popcorn shrimp.

Recommendations from the insider include trying the Wild West shrimp and cheddar-stuffed mushrooms, both of which are standout appetizers at the restaurant.

Additionally, guests can customize their dining experience further by requesting cinnamon sugar butter for the complimentary bread, swapping steak seasonings for a personalized taste, or adjusting the level of seasoning to suit their preferences.
