Krispy Kreme has partnered with a famous candy brand to create three new doughnut flavors. These special treats will be available for a short time starting this Wednesday. Fans of both Krispy Kreme and this iconic candy won't want to miss out on this delicious offering.

Krispy Kreme Unveils New Kit Kat Doughnuts

According to a recent news release, Krispy Kreme has introduced a new line of doughnuts in collaboration with Kit Kat. This partnership has produced three unique flavors that blend creamy chocolate and crispy wafers.

The company aims to offer its fans a sweet escape from their daily routines. They contacted Kit Kat to develop this fresh collection that ques any doughnut lover's cravings.

The debut treat in this lineup is the Kit Kat Crunch Doughnut. This creation starts with Krispy Kreme's famous Original Glazed Doughnut, topped with Hershey's Milk Chocolate icing, and is hand-dipped. It's then garnished with crunchy Kit Kat pieces and chocolate-flavored crispies for that extra texture.

Next in the series is the Kit Kat Cookie Dream Doughnut. This doughnut features a creamy, cookie dough-flavored Kreme filling and is unglazed for a subtler sweetness. It's dipped in Hershey's Milk Chocolate icing and covered with chopped Kit Kat pieces. Adding to its indulgence, it includes cookie crumbles, semi-sweet Hershey's chips, and cookie dough-flavored icing.

Rounding out the trio is the Kit Kat Salted Caramel Brownie Doughnut. It shares the same Original glaze as the Kit Kat Crunch and is filled with brownie-batter-flavored buttercream. This doughnut is topped with brownie pieces and Kit Kat chunks, creating a rich, decadent treat.

In a recent press release, Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's global chief brand officer, announced that the Kit Kat Collection is designed to provide a moment of sweet relief on busy days.

"Life is busy. Take a break with our new Kit Kat Collection," Skena suggested. He explained that each bite of the creamy, crispy, and chocolatey treats is crafted to sweeten up a hectic schedule.

Customers can purchase these limited-time doughnuts directly from stores or have them delivered. Additionally, there might be another method to sample these delicacies before they are gone.

This release is part of a broader trend for Krispy Kreme, marking at least their second collaboration with candy makers like Hershey's in 2024. Earlier in February, the brand unveiled the Chocomania Collection, which it described as the "chocolatiest doughnuts ever created." This collection included the Galaxy Brownie, the Black & White Chocolate Chip Dream, the Chocolate Cake Overload, and the Chocolate Iced.

Despite Krispy Kreme's enthusiasm for these new offerings, the reception from fans has been varied. Comments on Facebook indicated that some found the doughnuts "way too sweet and rich," while others were not enthusiastic about the chocolate-heavy focus.

Following the excitement of the Kit Kat Collection, Krispy Kreme continued to mark special occasions with unique treats. On April 8, during the total solar eclipse, a national spectacle, Krispy Kreme joined in the celebration by releasing an all-new Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut.

This special edition featured an Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in black chocolate icing and adorned with silver sprinkles. It was further enhanced with a buttercream made with Oreo pieces and showcased a whole Oreo at its center, perfectly capturing the eclipse theme. However, this thematic doughnut is no longer available at Krispy Kreme shops.
