The Finnish company continuously fights back to regain its lost glory as it recently announced their newest foray, the Nokia N1 Android tablet, last Tuesday. Tech buffs are quite caught off guard with the announcement, but as the surprise faded, many says it is "an iPad mini clone."

So before you jump into judgement, here is the detailed comparison of the recently unveiled Nokia N1 versus the fresh launched Apple's iPad Mini 3.

Evidently, the two small-sized tablets share a big difference in their operating systems as N1 will be powered by the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 while Mini 3 will feature the latest iOS 8. But when it comes to technical features, these two devices can be considered twins.

Dimension wise, Nokia N1 and iPad Mini 3 have almost the same measurements and weight. N1's dimension is at 7.90 x 5.46 x 0.27 inches while Mini 3 measures 7.87 x 5.30 x 0.30 inches. Nokia's tablet is a bit lighter at 11.22 oz compared to Apple's 12.03 oz weight. Both also sports full aluminum body. Nokia N1 and iPad Mini 3 also feature exactly the same IPS LCD 7.9-inch screen with the same resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels or 324 pixel density.

Apart from dimension and display feature, the Finnish company and the Cupertino-based tech giant have moved part ways. In terms of camera quality, Nokia is better with its 8MP rear-facing snapper while Apple has 5MP only. Selfie takers would love N1 more with its 5MP front-facing camera versus iPad Mini 3's 1.2MP selfie cam.

In terms of system chip, Nokia N1 and iPad Mini 3 differs as well, with the recently launched Intel Atom chip while the other will have Apple A7 chip. N1 will be equipped with a more power quad-core processor clocked at 230 GHz while Mini 3 will be sporting 140 GHz dual core processor.

Nokia N1 will also be featuring larger 2GB RAM compared to iPad Mini 3's 1GB RAM. Storage capacity wise, Apple's iPad's 128 GB internal memory option is better compared to Nokia tablet which has 32GB built-in memory.

Apple has launched and made iPad Mini 3 available last October while Nokia N1 is still slated for a February 2015 release in China. Price wise, Nokia N1 is definitely more affordable at $249 compared to iPad Mini 3's tag price of $729.
