Given the choice between watching the love of her life die or saving him by turning him into a zombie, Liv (Rose McIver) gladly chose to scratch Major (Robert Buckley) instead of letting him bleed to death. What will happen to them in "iZombie" season 2?
One of the main reasons why Liv broke up with Major when she turned into a zombie was because she didn't want to accidentally turn him into one during their intimate moments. It was somewhat of a relief for her then, when she turned him into a zombie in the season finale since they can finally be together again.
However, Major didn't want to become a zombie, forcing Liv to give him the other half of the cure that she injected into Blaine.
Now that Major finally knows about Liv's secret, will they finally decide to get back together in "iZombie" season 2?
According to executive producer Rob Thomas, it won't be that easy. Aside from the fact that there will be side-effects to the yet-to-be-perfected cure, Major will reportedly start the season on the outs with his ex-fiance - he did just kill a building-full of zombies before finding out that his own love was one as well.
Knowing the truth won't automatically bring the estranged couple together again. Even if they do decide to get back together, they would have to face a sexless relationship.
"Now that they both know, and Major knows what he'd be getting into, we're toying with, could they try a romantic relationship in which no bodily fluids were exchanged?" Thomas told TV Line in a recent interview. "It's sort of a great existential question of, could you have a romantic partner with whom the sexual limits were very, very strict? How would that go? We may explore that."
Major will come into "iZombie" season 2 totally different from who he was in the beginning.
"He is less innocent, and he probably has a darker view of the world," the EP revealed, adding that he will be "reeling" when the new season comes back this Fall.
