[WATCH] ‘Supernatrual’ Season 11 Trailer! Sam And Dean Become ‘Ghostbusters’?

With barely a month to go before D-day , the CW finally released the "Supernatural" season 11 trailer and it looks like the Winchesters will have a literally dark journey this Fall.

The Hollywood Reporter previously noted that executive producer Jeremy Carver already promised fans that this season will have "more of an epic feel with a big bad" during the San Diego Comic Con panel last July.

Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles), who had been at odds with each other for a couple of seasons now, will finally be united in the face of the "special big bad" this Fall.

"It's a pre-biblical story that's never been told. I think it's going to be a fun, epic feel," Carver previously shared, reported by the International Business Times. "And most importantly, I think the brothers are going to be united in their need to take this thing down."

The new "Supernatural" season 11 trailer gives a teaser of this "epic feel" that the showrunner talked about - with Castiel (Misha Collins) being trapped in the attack dog spell that Rowena (Ruth Connell) put him under, Sam being infected by something dark and evil, as well as the darkness wrecking havoc on Earth.

Of course, there's still the sense of "fun" that the show is already known for can found in the video as well, specifically when Dean answers his phone with "Hello, ghostbusters."

The brothers, and even angels and demons don't know how big the scope of The Darkness' power is yet. Since this "one specific entity" goes back to pre-Biblical times, only God or the archangels know exactly what this new threat could pose.

"I think [the Darkness] certainly opens the door for Lucifer and/or God to pop up," Padalecki said in a previous report about the new big bad. "We're certainly going back to that and going a bit more biblical and having our take on the writings that didn't make it into the Bible."

Aside from a possible reappearance of God (or Chuck to die-hard fans), this new threat will also make them reminisce about their past, opening the doors for past characters to possibly return for a cameo.

Watch the "Supernatural" season 11 trailer below and look out for the premiere on the CW on Oct. 7, 9 p.m.
