Jelena fans won't be thrilled once they find out that Selena Gomez has ditched Justin Bieber for another YouTube sensation.
There have been rumors coming out that the 23-year-old singer is dating Charlie Puth, who is now one of today's fastest rising singers.
It all started when the New Jersey-born musician posted a photo of him together with the "Good For You" hitmaker on Twitter. However, he decided to delete their adorable photo to avoid the dating rumors. The image showed Charlie Puth with his arm around Selena Gomez and they were making funny faces.
Their cute photo together may be gone on Twitter, but the "See You Again" singer retained it on his Instagram account where he wrote,
"The realest and most down to earth person I know. Good to know you @selenagomez your album is going to be incredible!"
Before the tabloids started creating stories about Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth, the songstress made it clear that nothing's going on between them. The former Disney star posted a photo of herself with her hand on her mouth while her rumored boyfriend was just inches away from her and his head was covered with a plastic bag.
"Before it begins, he is a good one. He is MY FRIEND only lol," Selena wrote on Twitter.
Charlie also took to Twitter to clear out the dating rumors as he wrote, "She's just my friend guys lol relax."
Ever since the "Marvin Gaye" hitmaker was linked to Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, he started getting media attention.
However, he seems not to be enjoying the spotlight.
"Always thought it'd be cool the day paparazzi started following me. Turns out it sucks and gives me major anxiety. 2 cars following me now," Charlie Puth wrote on Twitter.
It is still unclear if Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth will be collaborating on a new song that's why they've been hanging out more often, but Charlena fans wanted to see more than just a friendship between the two now that Justin Bieber is out of the songstress' life.
