"Jane The Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez has been bringing her boyfriend, Henri Esteve, around with her for the awards show that she gets invited to.
They seemed to be standing strong despite the Emmy Award-winning actress' crazy schedule. However, it eventually threw a wedge into their romantic relationship.
Although they just celebrated their first anniversary together, it seems that things just weren't meant to be for the two TV stars.
Speculations of their split started to circulate when Gina Rodriguez' boyfriend was a no-show at the Emmys Awards last Sunday. People eventually confirmed it a couple of days later.
"Gina really cared for him," a source reportedly told the magazine. She is a sweet person with a prosperous career, but she has limited time and it was just a mutual split."
The insider added, "They are still friends and very realistic about relationships."
Could the 31-year-old's career, which had been taking off since she starred in the breakthrough CW series, affected her decision to end things with the "Revenge" actor?
She is certainly busy nowadays. Aside from the months scheduled for her Emmy-nominated series, she will also be appearing in a couple of movies. She's joining Mark Wahlberg and Dylan O'Brien in "Deepwater Horizon," a film about the worst oil spill in US history which happened in 1990.
She was also linked to "This Shining City" and "Asher."
She may have just broken up with the guy she loved for a little more than a year but the split didn't stop her from stunning people at the Emmy's. She even joined "Grandfathered" star Jason Stamos in an Instagram post.

With Gina Rodriguez' boyfriend out of the picture, she seems to be spending more time with another guy - a cuter, absolutely more adorable little boy she calls her son on set.
The "Filly Brown" star couldn't help but gush about her onscreen baby, Mateo, on Instagram. With his huge wide eyes and chubby cheeks, it's understandable for Rodriguez to fall head over heels for the baby.
