"Sherlock" actor, Benedict Cumberbatch's girlfriend is now finally known. His girlfriend turns out to be none other than Sophie Hunter, a theater director. In the past, Cumberbatch has been very secretive about the identity of his girlfriend. But it seems that he is now ready to show off his lady love for the rest of the world to see.
The pair was pictured watching together at a tennis match last June. It is only recently that the two have been open about their relationship. Daily Mail posted a Sunday Mirror report that the two have been dating for several weeks now. Benedict Cumberbatch's girlfriend has studied in Oxford and the two both starred in a 2009 film called Burlesque Fairytales.
The Sunday Mirror tried to seek confirmation from Sophie's mother. But the only comment they got from her is, "Watch this space. You never know."
Bendict Cumberbatch's girlfriend Sophie Hunter has a distinguished career in show business. Aside from being a theater director, she is also an actress and a singer. Miss Hunter wrote and directed and experimental play called "The Terrific Electric". The said play earned her a Samuel Beckett Award. Miss Hunter is both an accomplished equestrian and pianist. She is also well versed in the French language.
Cumberbatch has been very busy lately with promoting his most recent film"The Imitation Game." Keira Knightley also stars in this film. Cumberbatch assumes the lead role as Alan Turing a cryptographer who led his fellow code breakers crack the code of the German's Enigma Machine during World War II.
The secret of the Enigma Machine was finally discovered by Turing and his team at the Government Code and Cipher School located at Bletchley Park.
He will also star in an upcoming film that is due to be launched on 2016. The film is called the "Flying Horse." IMDB provided a brief background about the film's storyline. It focuses on the life of Eadweard Muybridge, a pioneer in photography.
