Real Madrid Transfer Rumors: Cristiano Ronaldo Not Planning To Return To Manchester United, Says Agent

Recent Real Madrid transfer rumors indicated that Cristiano Ronaldo is interested in making a return to Manchester United, but his agent, Jorge Mendes, quashed all talks about a possible transfer.

Mendes said in a recent interview that no team has inquired about the availability of Ronaldo, while also adding that other clubs should not bother asking about a possible transfer deal for the Real Madrid star.

Ronaldo's agent said the team will have to break the bank in order to acquire the Portugal international, saying that they have a €1 billion release clause in their contract with Real Madrid.

"I don't receive calls anymore from other teams asking about Cristiano, because they know that it's impossible to tempt him away from Real Madrid," Mendes said in a Real Madrid transfer rumors update. "It's not worth calling to enquire about it. People are aware of his release clause - 1 billion Euros."

Mendes also denied reports that Ronaldo is now unhappy at Real Madrid because of the transfer moves that they made during the summer, such as giving up Angel Di Maria, who is a good friend of the superstar forward.

Mendes reiterated that Ronaldo is very happy at Los Blancos and the 29-year-old is actually looking forward to making club records in the next several seasons.

"Cristiano is very happy at Real Madrid and always has been," Mendes said. "He's going to break many records in the white shirt and retire here. He has great affection towards Manchester United because his heart was there for six years, but he is totally committed to Real Madrid and their fans now. He's very happy and he feels loved."

Ronaldo's agent also expressed confidence that Real Madrid won't even consider selling their prized forward, pointing out that the club is aware that they won't find another player like the Portugal international.

"We will never find one like Ronaldo," Mendes said in a Real Madrid transfer rumors update via The Guardian. "It is true he is getting better and will continue to improve until he is 40. Cristiano has no limits. Besides being the best footballer in history, he is the greatest athlete of all time. There will be no one like him in the next 500 years."
