Weeks after the rumor saying Academy Award winner Jared Leto (who won Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the movie Dallas Buyers Club) is reportedly in talks with DC and Warner Bros. for the role of Joker in the upcoming DC film Suicide Squad, the actor and singer finally speaks out.

In an interview by MTV about his band 30 seconds to Mars' documentary series "Into the Wild," Leto answered, "You know there's a film called Fight Club, my friend. And you know the first rule is, don't you? Enough said." He was pertaining to the line often quoted in the said movie in which "the rule of Fight Club is not to talk about Fight Club." This means we won't hear it from the actor just yet. That was a clever one, Jared!

The lead vocalist went on to admit that he has been reading scripts but is not in a hurry to return to acting, since he is still busy with his band among other things. There was this little event called the Oscars that basically changed my life," Leto said. "I'm not really in a hurry to jump into another film unless it's something I can't say no to. I want to make sure it's special."

Suicide Squad is a story about a group of supervillains that were gathered together and commissioned to perform a high-risk "black ops" assignment for the government. The rumored line-up for the said movie, to be directed by Fury's David Ayer, is composed of Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Vixen, Blockbuster, Jaculi, Mindboggler, Multiplex, The Joker, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.

Aside from Leto, other stars who are reportedly in negotiation with DC and Warner are Will Smith (Men in Black sequels) and Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises). Moreover, Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street) has reportedly been cast as Harley Quinn. The latest addition to the roster is up and coming actor Jai Courtney (Divergent), and he is reportedly being eyed as Batman villain Deadshot. The movie will be helmed by Fury's David Ayer.

Stay with us for the update on Suicide Squad's cast and characters. The movie is scheduled to hit the big screens on August 5, 2016.
