Motorola Customizes Moto X With College Logos, Colors

Motorola's new Moto X college collection features back plates with 43 school logos Slash Gear reported Friday.

These include: Wisconsin, Washington, University of Illinois, Washington State, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Texas A&M, Texas U, Tennessee, Stanford, Oregon, Purdue, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Missouri, Nebraska, and Michigan State. Also included on the list are Michigan, Miami, Memphis, Marshall, Louisiana State, Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, James Madison, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Georgetown, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Clemson, Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Arizona State, Alabama, and Arizona.

Logo designs themselves go for $34.95. Interested individuals can also select some instead of all of their school colors, depending on how much they prefer them Slash Gear reported.

Students with an actual e-mail address from their designated academic institution of higher learning $60 off on the mobile device Slash Gear reported.

The Moto X measures 4.7-inches, has a 1,280-by-720 display with 316 pixels per inch, has a round back with Motorola's X8 mobile computing system consisting of computing chips, a 1.7 gigahertz Qualcomm snapdragon S4 Pro, a natural language processor, and contextual computing processor that controls the devices sensors PC Magazine reported.

The phone also allows consumers to launch the device's camera app, Consumers can also control their Moto X smartphone device with their voice when it is released Wednesday.  Consumers can also retain and conserve power with the phone's ability to save its battery when a user chooses to operate it the official Motorola blog reported in December.

The company introduced its news Moto G device three months after the company released its Moto X, which was considered to be the company's biggest release since it completed a deal with Google.

"Our primary goal was comfort," Rick Osterloh, Motorola's senior vice president of product management told PC Magazine.

Motorola release the Moto G Nov. 13.
