Samsung Galaxy S5 Release: Mobile Device Hits 125 Countries

One hundred twenty-five countries have Samsung's new Galaxy S5 smartphone including the United States, Europe, Middle East, Latin America and many areas of Asia the company said in a press release Friday.

"The refined design and technological innovation of our new Galaxy S5 and Samsung Gear devices are the direct result of Samsung listening carefully to what consumers wanted in the next generation of mobile technology." JK Shin, CEO and president of IT and Mobile Communications Division at Samsung sad in a statement. "We carefully crafted each device to offer a sophisticated, superior mobile experience that lets consumers stay connected in their own way to focus on what really matters to them," Shin said in the statement.

The Galaxy S5 operates on Android's 4.4 KitKat, has a 5.1 inch, 1080 pixel high definition screen, a 2.5 gigahertz quad core process, and a 16 megapixel camera The Los Angeles Times reported.

T-Mobile also has the smartphone available for zero Money down when consumers spread out payments over two years a press release on The Wall Street Journal's website reported.

The Gear 2 costs $299 with the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit slated for $100 less at $199 before taxes.
