The Tallest Man In India Joined A Freak Show For Quest To Find Love

Dharmendra Singh is 8-foot-1, standing as India’s tallest man, according to the Huffington Post.

The 32-year-old is on a quest to find love, reportedly working at a freak show near his home town of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, expanding his dating pool and meeting new people in the process.

“I am immensely popular and it is all because of my height,” stated Singh.

Although there are benefits to Singh's job, the sad truth is that the college graduate was reportedly unable to get hired due to his height.

Singh, who has a Master’s Degree in Hindi, has had difficulty finding someone to match both his personality and height.

“In terms of marriage, the main problem is my height. It will be very difficult to find someone who is tall enough for me. I think it is impossible,” stated Singh.

“So this is also the reason why I haven’t had a girlfriend. Women are very much interested in me. They talk to me and giggle but I have never met anyone who I could look up to. In college, I was a very shy person. Like other boys, I never approached girls to have a chat. I had great respect for them but never met the woman of my dreams.”

Singh’s family are of normal height, according to the U.K. publication The Telegraph.

Aside from finding a job, Singh's height has gotten in the way of him making friends as well.

“I was ill-treated by many people who would call me names like ‘giraffe’ or ‘camel,’” stated Singh.

“Some people would say that I have grown too tall and I have become useless. People would say I have become useless. People would say I have become hopeless. I used to feel bad about these things.”

Singh’s previous experiences have caused him to push others away.

“I was not very friendly with the children in my neighborhood and I didn’t make many friends. I have a problem — I can’t make friends. And that holds true for women also,” stated Singh.

To others, Singh is seen as a “very optimistic and cheerful person,” according to Singh’s neighbor, Suman.

“He is like a son to me and I wish he finds a suitable girl for himself and gets married,” stated Suman.
