A 21-year-old man was found dead in the swimming pool of Demi Moore’s home in Beverly Hills on Sunday morning, according to People.

The 52-year-old actress, who wasn’t home at the time, recently responded to the news regarding the tragic death.

“I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got this devastating news,” Moore said in a statement.

“The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy, and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time."

No one from the Moore’s family was reportedly present when the body was found.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Edenilson Steven Valle, according to CNN. He was reportedly found floating in the deep end of the pool, according to Lt. Fred Corral of the coroner’s office.

Paramedics reportedly attempted to revive him, but were unsuccessful.

Officer Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly told People that they do not suspect foul play and assume the death was from drowning. The LAPD are reportedly currently waiting for a toxicology report.

Five people in the home, where a party had been held, were reportedly questioned by police, according to police Officer Matthew Jones.

“Who threw the party, we do not know at this time,” stated Jones.
