A 71-year-old woman has 1,000 new bee stings after a mob of 75,000 to 80,000 killer bees harmed her Thursday The Press Enterprise reported Friday.

The woman who works at Verizon came into contact with the insects when she accessed a vault owned by the company on Lucerne Drive in Palm Desert, Calif., shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday.

"You couldn't see her," Mark Williams, fire battalion chief at Cal Fire told The Independent. Williams was also the case's incident commander.

"They're quick to anger, and they are relentless in their attack," Lance Davis, who owns Lance Davis Killer Bee Live Removal told The Press Enterprise. "If it takes the whole hive to protect against an intruder, or someone perceived to be an intruder, they will do it," Davis told The Press Enterprise.

"They just went into her car and attacked her. They were mad," Davis told The Palm Desert Patch.

Three out of five firefighters from Cal Fire were also pricked when they responded to the woman's aid, while the other two prohibited onlookers and onlookers from approaching the scene. All of the firefighters were back on the job following medical care.

The woman, in town spending time with relatives came into contact with the bees who were reportedly living in the vault located beneath the ground since it was not widely populated and they felt they would not be bothered The Press Enterprise reported. The temperature was also lower.

Davis fixed the situation for people who go to the vault in the future by taking the bees away from the hive by huffing smoke throughout it that leads to the bees attacking all together at once, and the chemical pheromones The Press Enterprise reported.

The woman had just stepped out of her car when the bees bombarded her causing her to become immobile The Press Enterprise reported. Family members put a blanket around her, and quickly led her indoors.

The bees are now in farmers' hands to pollinate crops The Press Enterprise reported.
