Nickelodeon And She's The Man Star Amanda Bynes' Parents Grant Temporary Conservatorship Over Daughter

| By

So many things have happened to former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes as of late. After her 14-day extension stay at the Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena California, she was again instructed to stay for 30 more days on a 5150 psychiatric hold as her doctors stated that she was too ill to be released from the hospital and even care for herself.

Moreover, Bynes' parents were again granted a temporary conservatorship over their daughter while she is receiving proper medication and care at the hospital. In a report by TMZ, Rick and Lynn Bynes filed legal documents asking for conservatorship over the "She's A Man" star, stating that she is a "substantial risk" to herself as well as other people. They further revealed in their statement that their daughter has been spending "alarming amounts" of money considering that her only means of income right now is a rental property, although her net worth is currently at $3.5 million.

Both parents were granted conservatorship August 2013 during their daughter's involuntary hold following a series of bizarre behavior such as starting fire in a stranger's lawn. The conservatorship ended June 2014.

Last week, reports have surfaced that the troubled star's parents have gotten in touch with Britney Spears' father, Jamie, since he and his wife experienced the same thing with Britney back in 2007-2008. Rick and Lynn Bynes reportedly sought the help of Jamie concerning their daughter since there was no guarantee that they were going to be granted conservatorship.

"Amanda's family is not taking any chances, they've asked Jamie [who has been Britney's conservator since 2008] for his lawyer's details and for his experience over obtaining conservatorships," a source told Cover.

We're just glad that the court has granted Bynes' parents what they asked for. It will be best for their daughter, even when she reportedly "felt betrayed" by them. Stay tuned for more update on Amanda.
